About Alice's WonderDance
Our daughter, Alice Da Silva Aguiar, was tragically taken from us in the Southport attack of July 2024. Her passing has changed our lives forever. We lost our most precious soul, and the world lost an extraordinary young woman whose kindness, passion, and light touched everyone around her.
To honour Alice’s legacy and her deep love for dance, we established Alice’s WonderDance Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to supporting and empowering young people within the world of dance, providing opportunities for growth, creativity, and inclusion.
We are determined that this tragedy will not define Alice’s name. Instead, her legacy will shine through the values she embodied: hope, joy, and inclusivity through dance. Through the foundation’s work, we strive to continue spreading the magic and compassion that Alice shared so freely with others.
When Alice’s WonderDance Foundation was created, Sergio — Alice’s dad — wanted to do something extraordinary to honour her memory. That’s how Running the World for Alice began: a mission to run the six Major World Marathons, carrying Alice’s name across the globe.
Every mile is a tribute to her spirit and a step toward raising funds for the foundation, helping other children experience the same joy and freedom that dance gave Alice. Sergio runs not just for Alice, but with her, turning love and memory into hope.
